We have just sent out an email to all of our affiliates and advertisers about some changes that are going to be happening to the standard AffiliateFuture payment terms over the next month or two. Please make sure that you take a read through these as it’s quite a major change to the way in which we work.
A copy of the email to all of our affiliates can be found below. If you have any questions please either leave a comment or email us at enquiries@affiliatefuture.co.uk.
We are writing to inform of some important changes to the payment terms with AffiliateFuture that will be happening over the next few weeks.
As you will be aware, AffiliateFuture’s current payment terms state that we pay on the 28th of each month with the full commission generated from the previous month’s activity, regardless of if we have been paid by the merchant or not.
To bring us inline with the industry and to protect our business we shall be moving to a post-payment system, paying only when the commission from each individual merchant is paid. As part of the change we will be moving to two payment dates per month. The new payment dates will be the 1st and 15th of each month.
To give you a better understanding of how our payment system works, merchants pay in three different ways; pre-payment, direct debit or invoices ( 99% of our invoice clients have a payment date of 30 days or less).
All of our merchants will also be made aware of these changes and the importance of paying on time to ensure speedy payment to you as an affiliate.
These changes will come into effect for transactions generated from April 2010 so your last payment based on the old payment model will be later this month.
To avoid any element of doubt, the payment that would be scheduled for 28th May will no longer happen, and the new payment upcoming payment schedule will be:
- 1st June – This payment will cover all commission generated from 1st April – 14th May that has been paid by the merchant. Please note that merchants must have cleared all outstanding monies for transactions prior to April 2010.
- 15th June – This payment will cover all commission generated in May that has been paid by the merchant, plus additional payments from April that have now been resolved.
Further payments will be made on the 1st and 15th of each month, for transactions paid 15 days previously. If either of these dates lie on a weekend then the payment will roll back to the following Monday.
To offer full visibility on your payments we will be offering a number of new reports that will give you a full breakdown of each transaction and it’s payment status along with providing details stating if a merchant is up to date on their payments before you start promoting them, giving you the ability to minimise your risk.
Your payment for transactions made in March will be paid as normal on the 28th April.
We understand completely the importance of this change to your business and as always we welcome your feedback and are available to discuss it over email or by calling 020 7936 6700
If you have any questions about this then please get in touch.
Regards
Pete Dickenson

Good Morning
We are pleased to announce that we have brought our payment for global (non UK originated bookings) in line with our UK programme, meaning we will now pay the standard 2% commission of the GBP booking value on any booking in any territory, excluding the great introductory 3% commission for three months for all new affiliates.
This development is really important for us, as publishers can now be rewarded equally for all sales made in and outside of the UK. Bringing the remuneration process in line with our UK programme should make it easier for publishers to understand our programme and know exactly what they will be earning from the bookings they make. We are committed to our affiliate programme and to giving publishers great opportunities to maximise their earning potential and over the coming months we will be communicating more and more special offers from around the world.
The change came into play on 24 February so all transactions from this date will be paid for at the 2% rate, which is fantastic new for our publishers!
If you have any questions at all please feel free to contact me.

A few nights ago the affiliate industry got together for the 3rd A4U Awards, this year held at the Park Lane Hilton in front of a few hundred merchants, affiliates, networks and agencies.
The AffiliateFuture team had a great time and we would like to thank the whole team at Existem for another successful event – it’s a shame the awards are only once a year!
Congratulations to everyone that was shortlisted and those who went on to win the award or be highly commended.
And now on to the Blog Competition – a caption contest for the following photo of Mark Smith (CEO of TMN) from the A4U Awards:

The winner (as picked by the AffiliateFuture team) wins a nice bottle of bubbly…. Just post a comment below but they will be moderated so please play nice!

We are really pleased to announce that the updates to version 2 of our interfaces went live today!
We are really excited about the improved functionality that it brings; Not only does it give affiliates more new features but it will also bring much improved performance and reliability due to some changes in the way in which the stats are generated.
Below is a summary of some of the changes that have been made:
Reports > Cancellation Report:
A new report that makes it easier to find the details of your cancelled sales; allowing reporting via date rangers and filtering per merchant.
Reports > Daily Merchant Stats:
This is one of my favourite new reports – it gives a daily breakdown per programme. Shows number of visitors, leads/sales, Sales value, Commission and EPC. Let’s select per programme via a date range (max 1 month at a time).
Reports > Tracking Reference Summary:
If you use tracking references, especially for PPC activity then this will give you a breakdown per order reference per programme on the Clicks, Leads/Sales, Commission, etc. This information is obviously still available per transaction under the Commission Analysis but now allows you to do quick summaries instead.
Reports > Export Reports:
Not really new functionality here but we’ve changed the way that the Export Reports work so it should be a lot faster and reliable than previously.
Programmes > Merchants Joined:
All the default links for programmes you are signed up to are now available on this screen – there is also quick links to Programme Details and Creative – this should make life a lot easier for affiliates who want to login quickly to grab their links.
We’re still working on a few other improvements but the new changes should make things a lot more stable and will lead to us turning off the old interfaces in the near future.
Obviously feedback is appreciated – please feel free to comment below or contact me directly.
Thanks
