Olympic Holidays – Earn an extra 2% commission this January!

As we approach peak travel season, Olympic Holidays would like to offer affiliates an additional 2% commission (total 5%) on all PACKAGE HOLIDAY transactions, made between 1st January and 31st January 2010- as a little incentive to drive those sales.

Olympic Holidays are also running a great consumer offer in January - giving up to 17% off summer 2010 holidays, so there really is no reason why you shouldn’t give them a push this travel season.

Noticeable trends in 2009 (predicted to continue into 2010)

Due to current economic climate, Olympic Holidays saw a considerable rise in the amount of bookings travelling to Turkey, Egypt and Croatia in 2009. These three destinations equated to over 20% of Olympic Holidays total online sales.

All Inclusive Bookings were also up by 35% yoy, which accounted for 40% of online sales

Holidays to Greece and the Islands remained the main bulk of Olympic Holiday’s sales, accounting for over 60% of total business in 2009.

On the Beach - January affiliate incentives and consumer offers

As we move into the final stretch of 2009, brace ourselves for the next batch of snow and hike up the heating (even more), we are all starting to think about that much needed break. And we are certainly not on our own…. Just in case you didn’t know… January and February are traditionally the two busiest months of the year for Travel - especially for the coming summer season.

Therefore, in anticipation of said peak season, we are writing to give you a heads up on what’s on offer as an On the Beach affiliate, consumer offers available to help convert your traffic and of course -the all important affiliate incentive….. Sorry, Incentives!!!!!

You will find the bulk of info in the AffiliateFuture interface as well as in the NEW travel resource centre, but just to give you a head start, here are a few tips to help you on your way…

About On the Beach

So why promote On the Beach

- Almost 50% of all stored searches are for All Inclusive properties.
- Egypt has been the top destination consistently for the past twelve months, followed by other non euro destinations such as Turkey. (a clear indication of the economic climate).
- Over 75% of “On the beach” bookings are for flight and hotel (dynamically packaged holiday)
- The average basket value is £1100 (with an average share basis of 2.4 passengers per booking).
- Average affiliate conversion =1.5 - 2%, with an average EPC of 0.70p.
- Over 30% of On The beach affiliate sales come through live feeds (search boxes / white labels etc)
- Average Lapse period (click to booking) = 3 days
- Peak months include - Jan, Feb, March, July, Aug and Sep.
- June and September are the two biggest months for Late Deal sales.
- 99% of On the Beach hotels offer free child places (excludes flights).

Important note on landing pages (!)

On the Beach have recently made amendments to the landing page addresses on their site (in preparation for the new site launch in Q1).

They have placed redirects on their top 11k hotel pages and destination / resort pages - so you do not need to panic about switching over immediately.

There are obviously some pages that do not have redirects - however, these receive minimal traffic.

If you come across a page that you are using for a bespoke promotion or niche site and the link is no longer working, please contact Victoria.mcquillan@affiliatefuture.co.uk who will arrange for a redirect to be placed on that page.

On the Beach will provide detail of the remaining landing pages shortly (once they have them) and these will be added to the interface for your use.

The landing pages in there at present, are the ones they have asked you use, with redirects in place. They have also provided the new address’s alongside, so you can replace at your leisure.

Commission

As a valued affiliate, we can offer you 3% on Flight and hotel bookings, 2% on flight only and 5% for hotel only.
We also have a bonus programme, for affiliates who go the extra mile.

The All Important Incentive/s!
