NMA published an article in their latest weekly edition about some new research that was conducted with AffiliateFuture and The iD Factor (part of the TMN group) recently.
The research was completed by 105 merchants who use a variety of different networks and paints a very positive image for the affiliate industry given the currently economic climate.
Some of the topics covered include:
- Budgets and how they may change in 2009
- Satisfaction with quality and volume of leads and sales
- Voucher codes and the IAB
Here are a few snippets of statistics from the research:
- 66.7% of merchants surveyed consider affiliate marketing a cost of sale and don’t have budget restrictions
- 33.4% of merchants surveyed were either satisfied or very satisfied with the quality of the leads/sales generated
- 38.9% of merchants surveyed use Voucher codes and will continue to do so
- 61% of merchants surveyed were unaware of the IAB guidelines on Voucher codes
You can download a copy of the NMA article here for some more insights into the research.
