Attendees at our retail event on Tuesday evening may well have seen a camera roaming around and we’ve now put together a little video compiliation of the evenings activities.
We’d like to thank everyone who came along to “Sell with a Splash”, our networking event for the retail sector, on Tuesday night! We welcomed a range of top affiliates and merchants operating in the sector for a unique evening of networking and entertainment in the fabulous Haymarket Hotel Pool & Bar in London, where highlights included fabulous product showcases and beauty treatments from firebox.com, mobiles.co.uk, Savile Row and Beautique.com, along with fantastic interval entertainment from the Aquabatix synchronised swimming team!
Our keynote speaker on the night was James Roper, Chief Executive of IMRG (Interactive Media in Retail Group). James presented guests with “e-retail, The Trillion Dollar Trade Route”, a presentation about the current state of worldwide retail. Given today’s credit crunch concerns, this was a timely addition to the evening’s agenda and James offered some useful insight into the facts behind the trends and strategies for surviving the economic downturn.
We had a fantastic range of prizes, goodie bags and giveaways up for grabs on the night, kindly donated by Savile Row, Chargrilled, Beautique.com, firebox.com, mobiles.co.uk, LOVEFiLM, The Magazine Group, TVonics, Tightsplease and Lenstore, ensuring not many guests left empty-handed!

Over the last 12 months AffiliateFuture have been putting a lot of emphasis on our technology; the new affiliate interface, Veracitag cookieless tracking, the industry leading voucher code manager (with XML) and now the launch of our new product feed system/content units.
So without further ado we are delighted to announce the launch of Xenon; a product and content distribution platform that gives affiliates access to our merchants’ inventory via a Web Service API, datafeeds, content generation tools and a white label product comparison system.
For affiliates, there are three aspects to the new Xenon technology – Data, Content and Search.
XenonData
You can choose to have category or Merchant specific data delivered to you daily via; the Xenon tools, live URL, or FTP. A Web Service API is also available which gives you access to the entire dataset that drives the Xenon system. When pulling off Category feeds you are able to promote all our merchants without having to sign up individually to each one, saving some time and effort and helping fill niche category sites with very little effort.
Xenon Content units allow you to feature dynamic, relevant content and products on your website. Content is defined via keyword and category settings and is served from a pool of results that is most relevant. All content is tracked and deeplinks directly to merchant websites. It’s also possible to heavily customise the units, changing sizes, background images and many other areas of the look and feel. There will also be a number of merchant and event branded content units available over the next few days.
Finally Xenon Search allows affiliates to create search boxes or deeplinks that launch Xenon’s customisable product comparison system. Merchant data is constantly updated by our systems and much like our travel search this is extremely easy to customise and put on your website to add some additional functionality in just minutes.
The launch of Xenon is the next step forward for our continued march into the retail sector – we’ve launched some great new merchants over the last few months and in the run up to Christmas we’ve got a bunch more lined up and integrating our tracking that we’re sure that you will want to promote.
Next up on the development front is getting the new interface completely sorted along with some further API access to reports, all of which due to be released next month.
