The last hurrah!

Well, we’ve almost reached the end of this year’s Barbados trip and what a trip it has been!  After a week full of thrills and spills, we’re all sorry to have to leave this paradise island but all good things must come to an end!

Last night, most of the group went to Oistins, where we sampled the local seafood.  Slightly more exotic than your average fish & chip shop back in the UK - we tasted shark, baracuda, lobster and the local favourite flying fish.  All washed down with an obligatory rum ‘n’ coke or two, of course!

The group then split, with one faction headed for Harbour Lights again (headed up by James – officially Harbour Lights number 1 fan!), while the rest of us returned to the hotel for some more drinks and merriment.  The Harbour Lights crew returned to the hotel at 8.30 this morning, so I can only imagine it was a good night and there will be a few tales to tell today!

We’re all off to a local restaurant tonight for our farewell meal and flying back to the UK tomorrow evening, so we’ll be back in the office fresh as daisies on Monday morning!

I’m sure you’ll see all the photos and hear all the stories about “Team Extreme’s” adventure on the way back from Harbour Lights very soon.

That was the only night that was relatively early for me – and I’m didn’t get caught up in all the fun – I don’t think I’d enjoy the three hour trek back!!!

I’ll be blogging about the trip, but would like to say that it was an outstanding “holiday” set up by all the people there.

It was also great to meet Siri, Hannah (really!) and Mr Pearson and the rest of the guys and galls that won their places.

p.s. my holiday is still not over as I’m stuck in Gatwick airport :-(
